THE PARABLE OF THE GREEN LANTERN

The Green Lantern movie is a good parable of the experience of the Rachel elect. Superhero movies are good parables because of the supernatural elements that mirror supernatural things in the Bible. The hero has things to battle and overcome, which parallels real life too, and must grow and become a better version of himself. Here is my take on what God tells me the Green Lantern movie says about the common experience of the Rachel elect. I will do a little different and describe a little and comment a little analysis as I go along.

Green Lantern Abin Sur comes to earth and is dying, but before he dies, his ring, which has a will of its own to find a replacement, goes in search of another qualified Green Lantern. Christ is Abin Sur, who comes to our "earth", which is our consciousness. "O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD." (Jeremiah 22:29) Here the Bible describes the earth in metaphor, as if it is an individual human mind that has ability to hear the Lord's voice. This is like the first part of our Christian walk, when we first become aware of God's presence in a personal way, and start to hear His voice. Abin Sur, Christ, is due to die on this earth, meaning Christ is eventually slated to die within our consciousness at some point but we don't understand this, but we eventually experience the spiritual experience of losing passion, losing our first love, awareness of God's presence, the seriousness of sin, the personal nature of our own sins that put Christ on the cross etc.... The cares of this life and the lust of sin do something in us like King David, who got lazy and instead of fighting battles for Israel, rested at home from spiritual warfare, fell away essentially, and lost awareness of God and got into sex sin with Bathsheba and murdered her husband to cover it up. But before all this happens, Abin Sur's ring, which represents the Holy Spirit, searches the heart of this developing Rachel elect to find Hal Jordan within, a replacement mindset to train, meaning Holy Spirit starts reproducing another "Christ", training another Rachel elect through these experiences, as all Rachel elect have very similar experience to Christ in their own way, falling away temporarily and coming back like the prodigal son. People are naive to think one can speak parables like Christ without having personally lived the parable themselves in the context of their own life. Fake Christians would claim Jesus never experienced what it feels like to be a prodigal Son, as He was always perfect and sinless from birth, but really the truth is He was much more stellar than any of us from birth, but only really became actually perfect and sinless at His baptism, when God supernaturally empowered Him to be so.

Simultaneously, while Abin Sur is dying, the ring works with the Hal Jordan within the heart of the developing Rachel elect, and starts training him as a Green Lantern. The ring only chooses a person with no fear, as one can only be a Green Lantern if one has no fear. Of course, all humans have fears, as Hal Jordan does at first, as all elect chosen by God to be Rachel elect have fears at the start of their Christian walk. While Abin Sur is dying, meaning the superficial understanding of Christ we have is dying within, our spiritual passion and enthusiasm is taking hits too, as we start to experience the theology of suffering in small ways really, mild demonic attacks compared to what is to come, but enough to start this falling away process, as we all naturally run from suffering inwardly and outwardly if we can. The ring, Holy Spirit, is training us as a Green Lantern, ring having chosen one who is said to have no fear, but really just destined to overcome fear, biggest fear we have is confronting a Holy God with challenging questions about whether or not He can really be a good God, for allowing so much pain, suffering, and evil in our lives and the world. Hal starts living the experience of a Green Lantern, much the same experience his predecessor, Abin Sur (Christ) lived, not knowing this at first, but coming to understand more personally with real experience, how he is living the life of Christ (Abin Sur) all over again in his personal life, learning to make personal application of the Bible, with the Spirit's help, to his own life, coming to see how he is living by every word of God. Abin Sur also had fears to overcome so understands this is part of the process of becoming a Green Lantern. Hal Jordan battles normal human bad guys, has some successes and some failures, overcomes some fears, others still struggling. It is all small stuff, but only comes to a real head when the supervillain Parallax comes to destroy the earth.

Hal Jordan's confrontation with Parallax represents the first major battle one has with the real devil and demonic forces, their intent to destroy a developing elect, but God's intent is to save. Parallax trying to destroy the earth, the elect's consciousness, is the goal. This is when God reveals the mystery of iniquity and begins convicting the person about this and many mysteries such as I detail on this site, answering the challenging questions each Rachel elect asks deep in their subconscious heart. It is Paul's road to damascus experience and 13 years of processing, but the experience is taylor made and unique to each elect, but always entails mental struggles of intense proportions, weeping and gnashing of spiritual teeth. This is a many years process of entry into that elect's individual inward end-times, and Bible says, in reference to both inward and outward end-times, "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." (Matthew 24:22) Inwardly, individually, this means the literal devil would succeed in killing that elect if allowed to do so, but God does not allow. Outwardly, this will be some literal earth ending catastrophe, probably nuclear war or threat of, that will initiate open contact and start the alien-god deception and major troubles for the earth. In the movie, battling Parallax, Hal Jordan battles his fear of failure and death, and the battle eventually ends in outer space, where Hal succeeds in pushing Parallax into the sun to be burned up. The battle is so intense, Hal looses consciousness and is floating into the sun as well and would have died, except other Green Lanterns show up and save him. In my case, I also literally lost consciousness in this first major encounter, but it is different for each elect. Main thing is, God intervenes in some supernatural ways or you would literally die. You also start having many supernatural experiences and revelations subsequent to this, such as I have interacted with angels in human disguise, who revealed themselves to me in various supernatural ways.

Hal Jordan is now fully a Green Lantern, protector of earth, having overcome his fears and defeated Parallax, and now is said to have no fear. Protector of earth, refers to protecting his own consciousness, as this one Rachel elect enters spiritual warfare battles that will continue until physical death. He learns the hard way of the many and various tricky ways in which demons will continue to battle and try to deceive until he dies physically, like peeling a supernatural onion, always new layers of onion (deception) to peel, and not always able to prevent onion peel crying (but get much better at negative emotion control). "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." (Revelation 12:9) Satan literally has the whole world deceived about many things, me too still, but it is a matter of degrees, and I am FAR less deceived than most now. This verse refers to casting Satan's lies out of your mind and coming to understand the truth, though it is also a lifelong process. Paul experienced this constant demonic attack and never ending levels of deception too, as he said messengers of Satan tormented him, and Old Testament symbolism shows this reality for all Rachel elect in the story of elect King David's battles with human enemies,(symbolically demon enemies) including rebellion from family, his own son Absalom trying to kill him. Demons are still family, though currently God's adversaries, but have their own destiny with "fiery" universal salvation one day. Until death, for punishment for his sins of adultery and murder, King David had to keep battling and never get so lazy again. It does not have to be literal adultery and literal murder as with King David, but eventually all Rachel elect are convicted of the seriousness of some of their personal sins and the spiritual sword never departs from your house (mind), pretty much constant spiritual warfare with real demons until physical death, and learn to not get so lazy again. "Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife." (2 Samuel 12:10) This is not just punishment, but also part of the training of Rachel elect, aka Green Lanterns, and everybody goes through it eventually in this life or the next, including Christ our forerunner who eventually did it perfectly in this life. A sovereign Lord has ways of supernaturally maneuvering all His first resurrection destined Rachel elect, like King David, into similar enough experiences in life to be able to say they have lived the life of Christ and understand Him, as Christ experienced all this too. Christ's three year ministry was all the sword never departing, pretty much constant spiritual warfare with demons. When the sword never departs your house and you are under constant spiritual warfare, you understand these prophetic words in Ezekiel. "And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened,(spiritual sword and spiritual warfare gets sharp, hard) and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.(devil and demons are slayers and cruel to us) Cry and howl,(negative emotions can reign) son of man: for it shall be upon my people,(meaning Rachel elect at this time) it shall be upon all the princes of Israel:(this comes upon all princes eventually, aka Rachel elect, who come to understand what God is doing in maturing princes to become Kings and Priests with Christ) terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people:(spiritual warfare is literally terrifying at times, feels like you're in hell) smite therefore upon thy thigh. Because it is a trial,(Peter talked about these fiery trials too from experience in 1 Peter 4:12) and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, saith the Lord God." (Ezekiel 21:11-13)

Though said to have no fear as a Green Lantern, in reality, Hal is still human, so battles fears occasionally, but learns to control them well. Green Lanterns still have fears, but for all intents and purposes, appear to have none most of the time, because they learn negative emotion control so well. Moments of sweating drops of blood though come and go as reminder to not get complacent or cocky or so lazy again, as without supernatural support in the form of the angel God sent to strengthen Christ, even Christ could not go to the cross. Everyone has their cross to bear. This is part of the training of all Rachel elect in history, but in these very last of the last days, when the open contact alien-god deception manifests outwardly, we Rachel elect, Green Lanterns, will be ready to destroy Parallax again for a confused world to witness. We have always done so inwardly and will do it again, this time in grand and violent fashion, in an outward supernatural display never seen before in history. A Green Lantern, using will power alone, could imagine anything at all, and this construct would come out of his ring. We Rachel elect, Green Lanterns, will also be able to imagine anything at all, and the ring, Holy Spirit, will make it manifest in physical reality, even if we Green Lanterns must sweat literal drops of blood while doing so. We are Green Lanterns afterall. We have no fear, and yet we do. It takes a lot to frighten us, but we love the sensation. Read to the end of The parable of the 95 theses to understand what I mean. I write a little blurb at the end that explains better what I mean.

When a Green Lantern would charge his ring, he would recite his oath, which we Rachel elect take seriously and never forget:
